“stupid little walks” is a series of paintings by artist Crescent Cheng, interpreting real places and creatures that she has seen on her depression walks around Highland Park.🚶🏻‍♀️

Each painting captures a moment of beauty, reflection, or humor that pierced through her brain fog deeply enough to be photographed (in the moment) and painted (sometimes months or years later).

This exhibition showcases the power of the physical environment to shape our emotional landscape. It reminds us to stay open to new discoveries, even when we think we’ve seen it all.
