Pop-Hop Pops-Up with Pop-Up Books

Pop-Hop Pops-Up with Pop-Up Books

On June 16 & 17, we'll pop up on Wilshire for a temporary residency at For Your Art. For two days our unique brand of print fetishism will occupy FYA's project space, featuring a selection of books from the store, including art editions, literature, children's books, zines, and Pop-Up books, as well as a streamlined print studio, and a microcosm of the community-driven artist-run space.

Saturday: Pop-Up Book Workshop  1 to 4 pm

Join Pop-Hop and friends as we explore how to make books that pop, hop, fold, fly and twist every which way. Books may be one of the oldest forms of technology, but that doesn't mean they have to be stodgy.

Saturday is LACMA's Muse Artwalk, so look for special events TBD.

Sunday: Live Screenprinting  1 to 4 pm

Pop-Hop's Robey Clark will screenprint from a selection of our designs on your t-shirt. Bring a shirt. Or buy one of ours.

Sunday: Readings   4:30 pm

We welcome some amazing local writers to read from their work, including Dave Cull, Leah Dieterich, Angie Lee, Shauna McKenna, Annie McKenna, Anthony Szpak and more!

Sunday is Father's Day. What better way to honor your Pop than to get him a book. And one for yourself too!
